Hi,

Quick question I cannot find anywhere. So the SSD included is a PCIe 3 SSD, and I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade to a PCIe 4 SSD like the 980 Pro since I know 11th gen intel chips support PCIe 4 or if it's not supported on this model's board and am better off looking at a 970 EVO ssd. I am upgrading since this laptop will be receiving steam support soon and want to store some games.

Thanks!

    Hi,
Your motherboard supports PCIe Gen3, Gen 4 SSDs will work but they will run at Gen 3 speeds, so I would suggest you get a Samsung 970 Evo and install.

Have a look here "Acer Chromebook Spin 713 - SSD Upgrade Guide" as this is a detailed guide of what you should do from a consumer that has done an upgrade of the SSD M.2, which should be an M.2 NVMe PCIe 3 but putting an M.2 PCIe 4 will work but will be waste of money as you will get the 3 speed.
