Possible to get more features for keyboard backlight settings? - nitro 15 AN515-45

Hello,
I have a nitro 15 laptop with RGB keyboard backlight. I know in the nitrosense app you can disable the light after 30 seconds of inactivity, but that's the only setting for disabling... Besides "fn + 9/10" keyboard combination.

What I was more looking for was more settings to disable from inactivity (like allow inputting manual seconds from 1 to 30 for example), or even just have more hard coded settings like 5, 10, 15, etc.

more importantly than that, I think it would be extremely beneficial to have the touchpad "wake" the backlighting when it has turned off from inactivity... So many times in the dark when I've had the setting to turn off after 30 seconds that had to press a key to return the backlight. Not only is it likely during a time when pressing a key might not be appropriate, and since you can't see which keys, it would literally be a random key. So many times it makes more sense (and more natural to me, coming from a previous laptop where touching the pad would reactivate the lights) to have the touchpad wake the lights.

To reiterate, it would be nice to have more than just 30 seconds auto off, and also to be able to wake with touchpad touch, instead of only with keyboard :)

I know it's virtually an impossible shot, but if devs can make this happen, or someone can forward to devs, that would be awesome!

There are dozens of nitro 15" laptops. What is your full model number? For example, AN515-55? Or An515-22?

I don't really think it's relevant to asking for more features for the nitrosense app in pertaining to backlight custom ability, but the model in question is a Nitro AN515-45

It's relevant because some gaming models already do have BIOS options and additional BIOS-controlled special-function keys that allow more flexibility than the ACER Windows apps don't or can't provide.

But you are correct, asking for some other ACER user on an ACER users forum to  make it happen for your model is virtually an impossible shot.  None of us here are ACER employees, contractors, customer service reps, software developers etc or have any sway whatsoever on matters like this. We're just user volunteers trying to help other users.

With that in mind, you might get a better  response by visiting the ACER group pages and sending your request to a few contacts there that might make it less of an impossible shot. Good luck. :)

Thank you all, it seems the only contact I was led to from the ACER group pages was either phone number or live chat. I have just recently spoke to live chat representative, and they said this issue would need to be popular issue on acer community forums. Representative has said suggestion has been submitted, but is unlikely to see for a long time without more popularity... I guess we will see.

Yep, that's about all we can do is wait and see. I won't hold my breath though. :)

I was looking for an answer to the question regarding having the touchpad "wake" the backlighting when it has turned off from inactivity... What I find unbelievable is the fact that on cheaper computers (HP for example I use for work) this function exist. It isn't very pleasant to search in the dark a key and I really do not understand if only two of this community find this to be an issue. I will chat on the  ACER group pages (live chat as I understand) and maybe more of us will do it in order to sensibilize the Acer bosses :).

My recent purchase is an AN515-57

For what it's worth, I just updated the nitro sense app through that link and have not seen any new features related to touchpad wake or other backlight features.

    Full model is Nitro AN515-45

Then, like the rest of us users, you have to keep checking the downloads for further updates that might address the issue. We're not Acer employees or tech service reps on these users forums so we don't have any inside information or special influence on when or even if they will appear.
