I just received a new battery today and was able to charge it fully. I then drained it to calibrate the new battery, but the problem is that I can't charge it after. Laptop doesn't light up its battery indicator.

Take note, I was ABLE to charge the new battery. Why is it not charging, now that I drained it?

Is there a way to test if its the adapter's fault, or the laptop's mobo? Multitest?

Acer Aspire E15 575G 54YE, 19V charger, AS16a5k battery 14.8V

The charger adaptor has a safety switch if there are any charging problems related to your laptop, see if that happens with this new battery and the charger trips its safety switch? As and if it does then you have to unplug and replug the charger so that its safety switch comes back on and try again? As these problems are all related either to this new battery or internal power/charging circuitries that need diagnosing like the Super IO, capacitor, circuitry fuses etc etc which only an experienced techs that has the appropriate tools can diagnose e.g. an infrared Thermal Imager gun so he can see which components heat/short out etc etc and need replacing?

A dead adapter is one of the most common reasons your laptop isn't charging. Check whether the charging port is making a good connection with the adapter and charging brick. Also, the plug that goes into the laptop might be worn out from use. Check the power jack on the laptop.

How would I know if the safety switch flips? The adapter lights up btw, and just tested the output voltage of the charger which is 19.29V.

@Jeyam The charging port looks fine. I'm currently checking whether the laptop is receiving electricity when plugged in with the battery. The adapter is currently outputting 19.29V and is lighting up on the brick, is it possible that it's dead still?

Just checked again, electricity does run to the laptop since I can read 19.29V on the power jack port when the laptop is plugged in. But when it is not plugged in, I read a 5.9-ish volts for the power jack port. Battery is currently at 12.98V.

Here's what's weird, I tried plugging in the old battery and the charging LED lights up like it has before, but ofcourse it's still a broken battery since it does not last long. Please
don't tell me the new battery is dead :/

I tried testing the power jack port again with the old battery not plugged in, it reads 6.4-ish volts.
