IRST_Intel_14.5.0.1081_W10x64_A with Acer Aspire V5-572P 0798 2.10

I did a boot repair in safe mode and there was indeed something wrong when it reported:

Main reason found: Unspecified system configuration changes may have caused the problem.

I restored my computer to its default settings and reinstalled WIN10.

Now the IRST_Intel_14.5.0.1081_W10x64_A application can be opened, but a message appears: The installation ended prematurely because the following error was encountered: This environment is not supported.

Attached is a section of the log file that states that:

I have an Intel (R) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA ACHI Controller.

Attached is the attached message on August 12, 2018. I remember that at some point there was a message calling for action and it was left unanswered by me at the time. Has there been an update then that has changed the Intel (R) 7 Series Chipset to another, which is why I am unable to perform this download. At that time I had not yet updated Bios 2.1.

It might help a bit more if you could reveal your full ACER model number. For example, A515-44G if it's a laptop? Or XC-830 if it's a desktop? It looks like the original BIOS configuration might've been changed from an Intel RST HDD configuration to a plain vanilla AHCI configuration. Which is fine but can't tell much more without some idea of what model we're dealing. ACER make hundreds of models with Intel's RST mode enabled.

Please attach phone photos of BIOS Information & Main tabs if possible. Also open DeviceManager, checkmark hidden devices in View tab and click Storage Controller folder. Please post screenshot if possible.

OK. Try this.

(1) Press WIN+R. Enter 'msconfig'

(2) In the BOOT tab, check SafeBoot box only.

(3) Open Device Manager. Right click and uninstall yellow marked Intel AHCI controller

(4) Shut down Windows normally

(5) Turn it on and immediately tap F2 to enter the BIOS menu again

(5) Make sure AHCI SATA mode is still enabled. Also enable the F12 boot menu option

(6) Press F10 to save settings and exit the BIOS menu

(7) Windows should boot to SafeMode and load normal AHCI mode drivers

(8) Press WIN+R. Enter 'msconfig'

(9) In the BOOT tab, uncheck SafeBoot box

(10) Shut down Windows SAFE BOOT

(11) Turn machine back on to Boot normal Windows

(12) Check Device Manager again for yellow warning triangles

I followed your instructions and it changed

the machine clearly searched for something but could not find it.

I did it again and it changed after that

Intel (R) 7 Series / C216 Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller 1E03 Driver 5.10.2012 version 9.3.0.1025 and at this point no more downloads.

I did it again and it then changed to the Microsoft version so no more Intel versions could be found.

Does this mean that there are no original installation versions because I have information about an old update with an Intel Chipset 965.

Can this driver information be entered manually?

Earlier this month, when the machine did not restart, I did a restore and reinstalled WIN10, and here it was announced that only WIN10 compatible ones would be restored, i.e. if any of the original installation versions could have been lost here, because at least some of the upgrades have been lost.

I have a yellow attention triangle in Device Manager for the Intel (R) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller and Media Controller. Also, there is a yellow triangle for the Video Adapter, but I don't know if this is due to an igdkmd64.sys driver error or a blue screen error.

(1) Yes --- but try to ignor the event viewer error message for the moment --- what problem is your machine having in actual use? And I don't mean trying to install updates that you think are needed.

(2) When you reinstalled Windows, did you install the Microsoft generic version or did you install the ACER OEM version that's on a hidden recovery partition on your boot drive?

1) The igdkmd64.sys driver is causing practical problems on my machine because Windows Security does not enable kernel isolation for device protection and Safe Boot has had to be turned off when I try to update these updates. Otherwise, I think the machine is working properly and there is a mention in the device manager that the device is working properly. I’m just afraid these yellow attention triangles are causing security issues.

2) When I reloaded Windows I don't know which one it loaded. Personally, according to their instructions, I expected it to download the original version of Acer, but I felt like it didn't do it and didn't let me choose, and I assumed it was no longer there even though the oem file was found, but it downloaded the general version of Microsoft.

This is NOT a practical problem. It is misleading and confusing information that you're reading somewhere on the internet. It is highly unlikely that it applies to you. You are needlessly worrying about security vulnerabilities that have almost zero chance of happening.

You don't download the ACER OEM factory Windows version. It is recreated from a hidden partition on your HDD from either the AcerCareCenter or the ALT+F10 cold boot method. It doesn't sound to me like you did a factory Windows re-installation and have downloaded drivers that are inappropriate for the machine with whatever Windows version that you re-installed.

At this point, I suggest that you download and install iobit's DriverBooster freeware driver tools and see if it can pick up the appropriate drivers on line and clear up some of the error messages that you're getting from all the different attempts and downloads you've tried.
