Helios 500 PH517-52 - Rear LED strip and rear Predator logo have stopped working

They had been working for the 3 months that I have had the laptop and stopped yesterday.  I have them turned on in all lighting profiles in static mode.  I switched them off/on to see if they would light again.  I have rebooted my laptop.  I reinstalled PredatorSense and nothing has worked.  All other LEDs work.  Anyone have any ideas?

I chatted with tech support (Christian) and he said to power down, unplug the laptop, then hold the power button for 30 seconds, and now they light up.  Great advice that I didn't think of.

Have you tried ALT+F9 do they switch back on or not ? are you also talking about the keyboard ? if the backlit light stopped working and wont switch on via the usual keys (including back the logo led) i suggest you to contact acer support and send it back probably its faulty hardware or some internal loose cable

Regarding your black screen issue i suggest you to perform a battery power drain followed by a bios setup defaults check here(use the power button instead) press/hold for 30s+ and leave it to rest for 2/3h if after still nothing works contact acer support

I tried the ALT+F9 and nothing changed, not even sure what that is.  All other LEDs work including the keyboard.  I suspect at this point it is a hardware issue and not software.  As much as I like everything to work, especially when spending $4.5K, this is probably not worth sending back for a fix and be without a laptop for a month and then having to reinstall everything again which took me the last 3 months to do.

The black screen issue must be for another thread since that does not apply to me.
