Swift 1 SF114-32 turns off spontaneously whenever it's moved and then has to be reset

My Acer Swift 1 SF114-32 turns itself off whenever I move it, even slightly, and then won't turn on until I do a hard reset with the little pinhole on the bottom.  This is effectively making it unuseable, is there a cure?

    All this sounds like your Swift 1 SF114-32 battery is not plug in properly or its plug has come lose or it needs replacing and/or its an internal power/charging related problems? If you have a meter then check the batteries OEM specs 11.55V (@53.9W) or if not then take the battery out (which will also reset your BIOS) and then leave the battery out for about 5-10 minutes, replace battery and try again and see if this action fixes the problem? If not, then your battery needs replacing, so do that also and see if these symptoms still happen? As and if they do, then it could be a side power port plug issue or an internal charging/power related circuitry or board issue that needs diagnosing and faulty components need replacing which also needs to be done by an experienced tech that has all the appropriate tools.

    Hi @RHCD,

    # Try to update the battery driver

    1. Hold windows key and hit letter X.
    2. Choose the device manager option.
    3. Go with the option battery.
    4. Under the title battery.
    Update Battery Drivers in Windows EASILY - Driver Easy
    5. Right click on that option ----> Update all driver under the title battery.
    6. Choose "search automatically". 

    Check this T/S and post the result. ​

    I solved similiar issue on Acer Swift 1 (SF114-32). It was caused by loose metal plate inside.

    There is a metal cover inside that is hold in place only by thin piece of metal. It has broken off and was freely moving inside and caused short circuit. There is even some burned plastic and black stains on the metal from the electricity going through it.

    It's the small sheet of metal next to the power input and USB ports. You can remove it and the notebook will work just fine.
