Hard Drive Failure Aspire 5

My Aspire 5 is 2years and 15 days old so just out of warranty.  The hard drive completely failed.  I used my laptop maybe once or twice a week and I felt failure at this point is more of a hardware sub standard issue and not due to use or power surge etc.  The computer was off when I was done and only connected and on when I used it to check my online things.  Is this a normal thing for these computers?  Very disappointing and I could never talk to anyone at ACER since it was days out of warranty - just kept putting me into the you tube or fee based support.  Frustrated for sure.  Can't even recommend ACER with this happening.  Up to now I was fine thinking this was a good last a long time things given my low usage.  Not any more.  Anyone else having this issue?

I do not use rotating media any more except when there is no choice. Always use SSDs now. If the drive is replaceable you can restore easily using your latest recovery drive. I use micro-SDs and tape to the lid of the laptop when ever a major change occurs plus incrementals for my main devices.

    Hi @Oceanside,

    # Try to update the battery driver

    1. Hold windows key and hit letter X.
    2. Choose the device manager option.
    3. Go with the option battery.
    4. Under the title battery.
Update Battery Drivers in Windows EASILY - Driver Easy
    5. Right click on that option ----> Update all driver under the title battery.
    6. Choose "search automatically".
