Acer Nitro N50-600 Desktop won't connect to Ethernet, Windows 10

I'm not entirely sure what did it. When I bought this computer it could use the ethernet fine, but one day I noticed that it had switched to using the wifi instead. For a while, I didn't mind, but now I can't figure out how to switch it back. I've tried switching the wifi off, changing the cables, I've done a full reboot of the system and it still won't use the ethernet. Most things I've seen online have involved playing around with bios which I'm worried about doing without solid advice.

Uninstall and reinstall the Acer OEM LAN driver as your LAN driver could have been corrupted while using the wireless card.

That worked, thank you! I feel silly thinking after all this time I just needed to repair the driver.

Glad to help as certain drivers just go into error modes if not used for a long tiome, as they are linked to other aspects of the laptop and they have to be used all the time.
