Hello All,

I have an old Aspire laptop Model: E5-571G-94MS.

I have found some information on replacing the wifi card module here: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Acer+Aspire+E5-571+WiFi+Replacement/51954

I would like to upgrade my old Wifi mini PCI-E card to the newest wifi standard 802.11AX.
It is an ALFA AWPCIE-AX200U: https://www.amazon.com/Alfa-Network-High-Efficiency-AX200U-AWPCIE-AX200U/dp/B08CV7WHVZ

My laptop is running Windows 10 x64 latest version.

Do I need to do any settings on the laptop BIOS, after I install the new wifi card module?
Or the bios will recognize the module automatically?

Appreciated your advice.

Thank you.

Both. E15 includes the E5 series, E5-571G and E5-573G and E5-575G and E5-576G and etc etc. Dozens of models in the E15 series or E5-5xx series all with nominal 15" laptop screens with similar mainboards.

Users have claimed success with the Intel AX200 card (not AX201) in the E5 series. But a few have reported problems. It should work without issue but no 100% guarantees.

So I should not have to touch the bios to make it work right?
