ACER VX5-591G

Hi ! I have an old acer vx5-591g whose display backlight(screen is black but you can see it with a flashlight) not working even after i bought a new lcvd cable and i cleaned some parts from display board.
 I saw a tutorial about backlight problem and some recommend to replace fuse but can't know exactly where to find it.

Sorry, no fuse or circuit breaker is mentioned in the LCD panel specifications. First try to turn backlight on with the FN+F6 & FN+F5 toggle combinations. Also, to rule out any backlight problems associated with the mainboard or GPU, you should HDMI out to a TV set or external monitor to make sure it operates properly

So all started when LVDS cable got damaged and image dissapear and reappear when you try different position.
I used external monitor since then and i reinstalled windows without laptop monitor being plugged on motherboard.
Now i bought a new LVDS cable and all i got is a dim display on laptop monitor.
 After checking some videos it may be some fuse or idk, i should buy a new display?

Do you have a backlight or not? Initially you said it was black. Now you're saying it's dim. Which is it? Have you tried turning up the brightness controls to 100%?

Laptop display is dim but external monitor don't . From internet i found that may be back lights of laptop monitor, i checked but didn't find any find any damaged things, i even cleared with isopropyl alchol but still it's dim(all black but if you point a flashlight and look very close you can see image but very dim).

There is a mod but its complicated, have a look at Laptop LED screen repair - Asus laptop, no backlight. as Sorin is an expert in repairs who runs "youtube electronic repair school" and is an expert PC repairer that has done and fixed your problem before very ingenuously, so look at how he has done this but you need all the proper tools as its not an easy fix, so be warned and be very careful as and if you don't have the right tools you can do more damage than repair anything and it would be easier to buy a new screen! Or if that is not the problem have a look at other fixes that he's done with screens here  youtube electronic repair school screen backlight fix good luck and hope this helps you out.
