Acer Swift 1 Charging Problem

For the past 4 - 5 months my laptop has had a problem charging.

When i plug in the charger, the orange light will flash on and off every 1 second and if i open my laptop, the charging icon in the bottom right corner will indicate that the laptop is charging, and then not charging, charging and then not charging, etc.

The only fix i've found for this is to shift my laptop and charger around in different positions so that it stays charging and doesn't flash.

Do i need a new battery?

@3MetreFlatty wiggle the charging cable to see if the charge indicator lights up.

Yes, if the issue changes based on position of the charger plug, then it's more likely the charging socket than the battery. Which Swift 1 model do you have? There have been literally hundreds of them over the years... It should be something like SF1xx-xxx-xxxx and the number should be on the same sticker as the SNID.
