Hey all,

I hope everyone is doing well.

So i have a Nitro 5, i7 10750h with a 3060, 16gb ram, 256gb SSD and 1tb mechanical drive.

Id like to upgrade my laptop. For example id prefer a larger main SSD drive instead of a 256gb, I also want to swop out the 1tb 2.5inch drive for a larger one or an SSD. 2tb or more. Id like to add an M.2 drive as well. A 1tb or 2tb. There is also an additional empty drive slot which id like to add another SSD. Probably 2tb. The Ram as well id like to change and add in 32gb.

Can someone tell me what parts are compatible for this laptop? I cant find anything on the Acer site for this specific model. Model number AN515-55-706S.

Also i know upgrading the main 256 gb SSD will require a process to install windows etc. Windows cloning etc.

Your help regarding parts would help a lot!

Tell us what Nitro 5 model you have e.g. 515-xx etc or do a Crucial Sysytem Scan as that will tell you all the appropriate drives suitable for your laptop.

You should have one gen3 m.2 NVME speed card socket plus one m.2 SATA speed card socket plus one 2.5" HDD/SSD bay. All three should be able to support up to 2TB each with no issue. You can also replace the two 8GB RAM sodimms with two 16GB DDR4 sodimms 2666MHz or faster. While more RAM can load more programs, 16GB is quite adequate for most users who don't load 20 or 30 applications all at the same time along with three dozen open browser tabs.  :)

WesternDigital blue series NVME cards, and 2.5" SSDs are about the best deals right now.
