Where do you get drivers for these things?

I just purchased a new A517-52-70KS laptop and want to wipe the default OS and perform a clean install of windows 10 to remove the bloatware that is installed by default.  The windows install does not see a HD installed.

I went to the driver download page to try and get drivers and it will not find my S/N or SNID so I tried going to the driver DL page but the Category drop down will not load.  I tried 4 different browsers.

The download page has apparently been unresponsive since yesterday. Doesn't work for me either.

Rather than 'clean install' the Microsoft generic version which you will also find is bloated with their own adware, I suggest that you're better off simply uninstalling the stuff you don't think you'll need. Just about all the ACER apps however are fairly useful.

Those are generic Intel drivers, not necessarily the best oem Intel drivers for proprietary ACER mainboards. You're probably better off using iobit's DriverBooster freeware driver tools for any devices that show problems in DeviceManager or don't seem to work properly.

Curious what Acer apps you find useful.

I installed Performance test from Passmark on the default install and after I did the clean install.

    Default install score: 3193.4
    Clean OS Install score: 4500.2

That is a 41% increase in performance based on the OEM install.

AcerCareCenter  pretty good to keep cuz, depending on model, it often has apps similar backup/cloning tools similar the best in freeware you'd probably download anyway. OEM bundled non - Mic ro soft antivirus slow things up and  no longer needed for most users. They must be uinstalled, not just disabled, to completely eliminate their performance hit. Other things lurking in the background like Amazon store etc that are needless resource drains and can be uninstalled.

After doing a little house-cleaning with the OEM version, you might even get higher performance by whatever performance metrics that your favorite benchmarking freeware is biased toward. Which is why I find most benchmarking freeware underwhelming when it comes to predicting real world performance. A lot of folks seem to fret or fawn over them though. :)
