Aspire VN7-591G video player

I upgraded my ram from 12GB to 16GB, but I started to get bluescreen after a month. I tried to fix it but the only thing that worked was to remove the new ram and put the old one back. But then I noticed that some files were corrupted and even my register, couldn't fix it so I had to do a factory reset. But I lost all preinstalled software, I did a reinstall of windows before but all the software stayed.

So does anyone have a list of the preinstalled software mainly the video player (when I opened one video I could then cycle through all the videos in the folder by clicking on the arrows on the sides.)?

You can download the pre-installed Win10 or Win8.1 applications from this link. However, it you upgraded from Win8.1 to Win10, some of the Win8.1 applications may no longer be available or work properly.

@stanno00 it might be the abMedia but will be difficult to find it.

The Acer Video Player was part of the ACER OEM version of Windows 8.1. If you upgraded to Win10, that probably is no longer available on your hidden Win8.1 recovery partition unless you try to do a factory reset. However, if you google search the keywords, ""acer video player" "freeware" "download" you may still be able to install a version that is compatible with Win10 using it's Win8.1 compatibility mode installation.

It is not acer video player. I thought that it was part of windows cause it was set as a default video player and it looks really similar to the picture app from windows when you open it.

How exactly did you perform a factory reset?

I have used the troubleshoot when you restart the pc then I clicked on "Reset this PC" and choose to keep my files.

Was the original factory-installed Windows version Win8.1 or Win10?

win 8.1 or win 8 not sure

Then whatever video player you had would likely be on that hidden factory partition if it is still accessible by the ALT+F10 cold boot method. The problem of course is that it will return the system to the original out of the box Win8.1 factory installation.

The factory reset you did was in fact not a factory reset if Win10 was re-installed.

When I go to the cold boot method and try to do the reset I don't have an option for win 8 and when I choose win 10 it says that "something went wrong". Also before I reset my pc I tried to restore through a backup (had like 3) but windows said that "something went wrong" and couldn't do it and deleted all my backups.
