Letters on Keyboard not working - Nitro 5 AN515-55

Not sure if they was asked, I couldn't find the solution for my laptop model.

I recently received a Nitro 5 AN515-55 as a gift a while ago and just now I turn it on and the letters on the keyboard won't work. I tried using the on-screen keyboard to type in my password and that doesn't work either.

I tried resetting it as well as draining the battery and unplugging it.

I can't seem to find the reset hole and the manual does not make any reference to one. So I am assuming this model does not have one.

Can someone help me, please?

First, this laptop is under warranty so contact Acer in your area and get their advise as to NOT void your warranty if you open this laptops back cover. As there is no rest pin hole in this laptop, try to press the power button for 10 sec for a rest, if that doesn't work then you need to undo the bottom case screws and pry the bottom cover off, unplug the battery for 5 minutes and then replug battery back, make sure that everything is secure like the RAM, SSD and they are clean and plugged in properly then redo everything and reboot laptop. This should reinstate and reset bios of your laptop and should make your laptops keyboard work.

    Regarding keyboard issue..

    Try windows x

    go to device manager

    expand keyboard

right click on keyboard driver - uninstall

    Restart the computer

    It should work fine..

Sometimes a simple system restore will fix the issue..

    Try windows x

click on power shell admin or command prompt admin

    type rstrui

chose an earlier date on which your computer was working fine

    click on next, finish, yes

It will restore your computer to an earlier date

if you get an message - system restore not completed - click on close

It will show you all the icons..

Try and check whether it is working now ..

    It should work fine.
