While Copilot is a useful tool most of the time, there may be occasions when you don’t want AI assistance, and simply want to get on with the task. Well, if you’ve got a PC with Windows 11 and Copilot and you’re wondering how to enable or even disable Copilot, then you’re in the right place. What is Copilot?
To begin with, let’s clear up a few nuances of Copilot nomenclature and heritage: Copilot was originally released by GitHub in 2021 as an AI-powered code completion tool for software developers. Remember, you are actually enabling the policy to disable Copilot, so ensure you click Enabled, Apply, and OK to completely disable Copilot:
