X27 bmiphzx fan replacement

I am the original owner of an X27 bmiphzx monitor. Part number UM.HX0AA.004. Mfg date June 2018. For the last 6 weeks or so, the fan has occasionally been making either a grinding noise or a clunking noise. I have taken the VESA mount off and used compressed air in all openings but it hasn't made a significant impact. Also, I can spin the fan with compressed air and when doing so it is silent and I don't see anything that could be coming in contact with it which just confuses me more. It was really bad on Sunday and kind of sounded like it would blow up. Right now it has been running ok for the past 36 hours or so but I am worried it may fail at any time. Are there any replacement parts I can obtain for this monitor? I really love the display and would hate to lose it over the fan. Thank you.

Google search the part nos.23.TBAM2.001 ---or--- MF30100V3151730 ---or--- AC148866 for vendors/sellers who ship to your location. About $50usd.

I believe the fan you are looking for is part of the heat sink on the G-Sync board. Acer part number 23.TBAM2.002 vs. the part number 23.TBAM2.001 used for the two smaller fans. It's not obvious if the 23.TBAM2.002 is just for the fan, or for the fan and heat sink.

Many thanks! I will order this right away. As a follow up question, do you or does anyone know if these screws on the bottom side of the panel need to be removed? I have seen disassembly instructions for other Acer X27 models that did not mention these screws, but I was met with some resistance here compared to the bottom of the frame. I did not want to apply too much pressure until I could secure a replacement part in case it wasn't just clips holding it together here.

Only the base stand screws according to disassembly instructions. Then pry the back cover off. Probably with a credit card wedge and plastic wallplastering tool from HomeDepot. Once back is off then you can see more clearly if the screws present an issue. You might break a few of the plastic latches prying the back off. Sorta have to slowly work your way around the back with the wedge to pry each latch free. Once one latch breaks free, use a credit card or your fingernails between the covers so the latch doesn't snap back together. Then move on to the next latch. Can be frustrating.

Did I order the wrong part or did they send me the wrong part? I don't even know what this could be for. Is there a second fan? I'm looking to replace the larger fan in the back center of the monitor. I already emailed the store but just wanted to double check here. Thanks again.

There's a smaller cpu fan. Can you see or take a phoneshot of the label on the bigger fan like on the one you got shown below. It might be associated with power supply.

You are correct. I was able to work that out with the shop. 23.TBAM2.002 is the correct part for the heat sink and fan combo that goes on the G-sync board that I needed to replace.

I got it the other day and finally worked up the courage to replace it today and I am happy to say everything is back to normal! That "normal" is still unfortunately kind of loud compared to having a monitor without any fans but my goodness am I happy to have my X27 working properly again!

Also to follow up on my previous question, I did not have to remove those screws on the side of the monitor to take it apart.

Good to hear that did it, and about the screws as well. :)
