Nitro 5 AN515-43-R6VY died, won't turn on or charge.

Laptop was fine for about 2 years, until one day it just shut off whilst gaming. Wouldn't turn on, wouldn't charge. Sent it to my local repair place, and they had it for a week or so. Gave it back working, and wouldn't elaborate on any details or what happened with it. Other than "a short on the motherboard" that they refused to give details about but they "fixed it" along with the power brick apparently.

Exact same thing happens six months later except this time they "don't know what's up with it, so we've sent it to a specialist" who apparently fixed it and "ran some tests" again refusing to give details. I'm forking over £150 a pop for an issue that that they won't even explain.

A few days ago. Same thing. It just dies, won't turn on, won't charge. Obviously I'm hesitant to take it to the repair shop because they've they've been pretty shady about it and haven't actually fixed anything.

So far, have tried the whole unplug-and-hold-power routine, with and without battery. checked pins for bends. No no mater what I try. Laptop model doesn't have a power reset pinhole or anything. I'm running out of options. It's my work laptop (small home business) and I need it up and running again ASAP.

Any suggestions or anything I've missed?

Locusfabrications the only thing that I can suggest to you as your problems could be numerous and many? As I can see that you have had allot done to this Nitro 5 and you are in the UK (by your repair amount in pound figures) as there is an excellent youtuber called Sorin "Electronics repair school" who has fixed Acer Nitro 5's on his channel for similar faults like yours, this guy is a professional and not a "parts replacer' or you can go to his link of "Laptops repair" and see what episode is the closes to your problem and watch that for a solution. Sorry but I don't know his contact details as he doesn't mention them on the channel but, try to post on his site and ask him and get in contact with him as I'm sure that he will be able to fix your laptop problems.
