Greetings,

I've been looking in youtube & forums regarding the above mention model of acer aspire 5 a515-51-313w m.2 compatibility. Ive open it and notice that it uses KINGSTON  RBU-SNS8180DS3/128GH ( M.2 SATA). My question is, can this particular model uses M.2 NVME?

and another question, can I clone from M.2 Sata to M.2 Nvme?

Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
Yes, you can install a M.2 NVMe SSD, you can clone the M.2 SATA to M.2 NVMe SSD but you need an enclosure to do it, best method ist to get a spare old HDD, clone the original drive to it, replace the old SSD with the new SSD, boot with the HDD and clone it to the new SSD.

    Hi brummyfan2,

Thanks replying so fast. This community is fantastic. Was planning to buy nvme for my acer aspire & plan to buy Acassis dual-bay clone which support offline clone. The seller already replied, it support M.2 Sata to M.2 Nvme for offline clone.

    Again thank you soo much.
    Will proceed with the purchase.
