Hi,
I'm trying to set up two external monitors on a Swift 3 SF314-52. I've been reading different opinions on what's working and what's not.  I've bought several cables and adapters that probably will end up on long term storage in my drawer...

Can someone please tell me exactly what I need to buy to be able to have two additional monitors? Apparently the "fantastic" USB-C does not support either HDMI or DisplayPort adapters...

Thank you in advance. Good karma will come to the person who can help me out!

Yes, the USB-C on your SF314-52 is gen 1 and doesn't have DP Alt mode support. Both that port and the USB 3.0 ports all support a dock though, and as long as the dock doesn't require DP Alt mode support it can drive external monitors. The easiest way to be sure the dock will work is to get one with a USB 3.0 interface, since DP Alt mode wasn't a thing for the 3.0 ports. These will not be as cheap as the newer designs, because they have to have graphics hardware built in, but you should be able to fond one that supports two monitors for the $50-70 range.
