CHROMEBOOK CB311 BLACK SCREEN

14 MONTH OLD CB311 9H C2 9C WITH BLACK SCREEN.  BLUE POWER LIGHT IS ON BUT THE SCREEN IS BLACK.  HAVE TRIED HARD AND SOFT REBOOT.  ANY HELP APPRECIATED.  TIA

    If you are out of warranty you could open it up, disconnect the battery then hold the power button for a minute or so, then reconnect and retry. That will often fix it if it's a battery related error. If that doesn't help you can try a USB-C to video adapter cable and plug into a monitor. If that monitor displays an image we are looking at the laptop display as the issue.

    Try to Hard reset your Chromebook
    1. Turn off your Chromebook.
    2. Press and hold Refresh + tap Power .
    3. When your Chromebook starts up, release Refresh .
