Help! Aspire A115-31 laptop refuses to turn on
So my niece's Aspire A115-31 laptop that she uses for school and zooming was working fine until it suddenly turned off by itself.
We tried the usual methods to bring back to life a laptop (holding the power button for 1 minute while either the battery or power supply is disconnected) and it did not work at all.
By the way, when we connect the power supply, the lights that indicate that said cord is connected do not light up at all. We bought another power supply thinking that maybe that was the problem. But it doesn't detect it either.
So we took it to local technicians at best buy (where the laptop was purchased many moons ago - yes, it's out of warranty) and they didn't had anyone available that knew how to fix it.
So what do you recommend? What are my options. My niece says that she didn't backed up some work she had on the laptop and wants to see if it's possible to at last retrieve it.
There is a 3rd party company that Acer recommends as a possible way to fix it. Should I try that?
Thank you.
