Repasting PH315-52 1660Ti?

I've looked through several discussions and videos but can't get a clear answer how to properly repaste.

From the videos I've seen, the person also applies thermal paste where the pink paste was, but several comments say this is wrong and should use thermal pads instead; whereas others will say the video helped. If we're using thermal pads to replace the pink paste, what should be the size of the pads?

What is the proper way to repaste? Just a quick note, I am quite a novice when it comes to parts and fixing stuff, but am willing to learn what I need in order to get back into gaming. I have already replaced the GPU fan once before, 10 months ago. Laptop has been fine ever since, but now the temperatures are shooting up to 91 on the CPU and 86 on the GPU.

I suggest that you first clean the fans, to properly repaste a CPU/GPU (as you don't need to use too much paste) is to use the "Pea Dot Method" which means that you put a pea size dot of paste onto the CPU and GPU and make sure that you clean both surfaces completely from the old paste first, then put the Thermal Module on top and secure it with its mounting screws. Also use a high grade paste like the "Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme" paste that is the best for a gaming laptop and its also advisable to replace the thermal pads as Thermal Grizzly also make a good thermal pad called "Minus Pad Extreme" so replace the old pads with the Thermal Grizzly which will assist your laptop to good cooling solution and reduce temps. Also I would use a tabled laptop cooler as I use one and it works perfectly in reducing temps.

There are no thermal pads to replace though. Just the CPU/GPU and the pink paste on the vrms.
