Aspire E1-572P running Windows 10 with its original Intel HD Graphics 4400 (Touchscreen)
The display image does not fill the entire screen, leaving black bars about 1/4" on the sides, 1/8" on the top and bottom. Doesn't sound like much, but it's annoying. I suspect this started when I updated to Windows 10 since I'm pretty sure I would have noticed the issue years back when I was a student and used this computer regularly.
Resolution is set to the max (1366x768 (Recommended)), scaling 100%, refresh cannot be changed from 60. Increased scaling does not fill screen. I have tried uninstalling the driver and letting Windows find one, but there was no change.
On another forum post I found, it was recommended to reinstall the driver in compatibility mode, but I cannot locate a driver via Acer or Intel.
Acer support page for this laptop's drivers doesn't load in Chrome or Edge.
Intel page says "A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver & Support Assistant is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact
Acer for the latest driver for your computer."
Please help!
Lighting isn't great in pic but at least you can see the side bar
