Hello everyone ,
The power LED  on my E5-521 color has changed from a steady blue to a steady pink.
I have experienced  no problems so far, and a  HD check prove  no errors present.
Can anyone explain this abnormal condition?
Thank you

Probably means the amber standby LED is also stuck in the on state. Happens sometimes. Press the power button to put the laptop to sleep. The pink purplish LED should change to flashing amber in sleep mode. When you hit any key to wake the laptop back up, the steady blue might return.

Thank you JackE for the  prompt response, however  my laptop is set to never sleep when plugged in and it is always plugged in.

So as a test, temporarily set it to go to sleep when you press the power button one time. Open Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. In the box that pops up, just change the setting for when you press the power button. Very easy. Then test it. Change it back if you want.

Yes I did that, the  power light did blink when going to sleep, but  no change after wake up  it is still pink.

If all else seems OK, it only means that blue & orange power LEDs are now both lit when on or both blink when sleeping. I dout it's a hardware issue. More likely a relatively harmless Window update issue. They'd probably go back to normal with a factory OEM Windows reset. But I really don't think it's worth the trouble at this point.
