I need to flash the BIOS chip from USB drive and I need to know what to name the bios file to get it to work with the esc+fn keys

    Re-name the isflash.bin to BIOS_GLK.ROM. Also please post any responses on this thread, not by PM due to difficulty in keeping track of your original problem..

    (1) USB thumbdrive with an activity LED must be empty FAT32 format.
    (2) Unzip the ACER BIOS zipfile. Look for BIOS_GLK.ROM file. If you can't find, it the unzipped EXE file must be run to further extract on another Windows machine
    (3) Copy BIOS_GLK.ROM” to thumbdrive.
    (4) Plug charger in. Battery must be fully charged.
    (5) Press and hold FN+ESC and turn machine on.
    (6) Release FN+ESC when activity LED blinks repeatedly
    (7) If successful, machine will auto shutdown after about 5mins
    (8) Remove USB and try to turn machine back on.
