Hello all,

I just purchased a SP513-55N and the stylus that comes with the computer is completely unresponsive. It does not work at all, and I am unsure whether I need to connect it by Bluetooth, although I presumed it should connect automatically? Any help/advice is really appreciated!

If the touchscreen seems to work OK with your finger, check the stylus AAAA battery is at least 1.5volts and that the stylus tip is not bent or loose.

    Hi @nancyd101,

Go to Device Manager, expand Human Interface devices, scroll down to HID-compliant pen and check the driver. Also you could check the settings for Pen and Windows ink, go to Start, settings, Devices and click Pen & Windows ink.

The pen support should be automatic, and the pen battery should charge automatically when it's plugged into the stylus holder. It doesn't use an AAAA battery, instead it has a rechargeable battery built in that's not replaceable. It's possible if the laptop was sitting in the warehouse for quite a while the battery is just low, so plug it in and allow it to fully charge.
