After 1.06 (or 1.07) BIOS update, the TDP never goes beyond 80 or so even though it's rated at 105W (for the RTX3070 version). I just came across the same laptop but with RTX3060 (am planning to get it). Can anyone here with latest BIOS (1.11) confirm what's the TDP now for the GPU? I mean has it been fixed? Also, if TDP is still low, how's the gaming performance? I looked at similar questions regarding TDP of this laptop in this forum but no one answered it correctly.

Seems like they fixed it with newer BIOS. Thanks for the answer. Can you tell me about the max temps reached while you play games?

The GPU temp hardly ever goes above 68°C. I've noticed that when it reaches this temp, the fans ramp up to lower the temps, so hardly every seen it go above 68°C.

However with the CPU temp, it can be anywhere from 68°C - 90°C, depending how CPU heavy the game is. For instance, while loading into some games or while levels are loading, the CPU will hit 80°C to 85°C. On average, expect between 70°C to 80°C while gaming. I'm hoping that one day Acer will release a firmware update to undervolt the CPU.

Keep in mind though that I do have my laptop connected to a second monitor through HDMI which is one of the dedicated GPU ports, and this monitor only runs at 60Hz. So it does help in keeping the temps lower as frames are capped at 60 in most games. I also have my laptop on a cooling pad.

Reaching the TDP in benchmarks and During Gaming session is different i have seen it stays capped around 80 W after new update and goes till 90 on Extreme or Turbo mode
