PH315-54-760S - Windows install doesn't recognize drives, cloned replacement drive doesn't appear.

I wanted to swap out the PH315-54-760S's OS drive with a Samsung 980 PRO (as CPU-Z indicates it's PCIE 4.0, screencap atached), however when I cloned the drive and swapped it out it instead went to what I guess is Acer's own Windows repair, where it didn't recognize any Windows installation (or drives, for that matter). Decided to wipe the drive and use a Windows 11 installation USB to give it a fresh install but, again, it doesn't detect any drives to install to.

Thing is, the 980 PRO worked fine as a secondary SSD drive and it showed up as the primary drive under BIOS, yet again during the boot it doesn't wanna work. Any ideas?

First what software did you use to clone? As you should use the Samsung 980 PRO drive with its compatible and made for cloning software the "Samsun Data Migration" within Win-10 as that software is made for Samsung drives and it automatically formats them as a boot drive with the OS that you are cloning. Try to format the Samsung 980 PRO first and then attempt the windows installation again as that is why you must be having this problem.

I used Macrium Reflect, but the first time around I forgot to do a few other settings. Did it again and it worked.

...And as it turned out, the 980 PRO ran like complete garbage so I wiped it and am going to return it, while the 970 EVO PLUS zoomed.

1. Download Intel Rapid storage tech. driver from acer drivers page...
2. Extract the zip file and save the folder in your bootable pendrive ( from which you are installing windows)..
3. now reach on the page where no drive is visible.. then click on load drivers -> browse your folder which you copied -> click install
4. All drives will be visible now..
