I have bought an
Acer Nitro N50-620 1.0
Enclosure Type: Desktop
(From Belarc advisor)
BIOS upgraded to R01-A3

I have tried to add an somewhat older HDD (Seagate 2TB) to the computer.
- Connected the SATA cable to the mainboard SATA1 port (partial hidden below the graphics card)
- installed the HDD into one of the bays in the cabinet.
- connected the SATA cable to the HDD
- Connected the power cable from the PSU to the HDD.
No problem so far.
Booting frozen on the ACER screen - Waiting 5 mins, but still no boot.

- Disconnected the cables from the HDD
- Booted into BIOS Changed SATA mode to AHCI
- power off connected the cables again

- Booting up into OS (Win 10 pro)
It took about 40 secs to first beep from bios
In Disk management I initialized the disk, and I assumed it would be it.

Anytime hereafter the computer is taken "forever" to boot.
Im taskmgr.exe ->start it says bios time 109,4 secs
and the fans are going more loud than usual, and CPU temp around 80 deg. with no progs running Besides Nitro-Sense

My question is: Is the computer not compatible with an somewhat older HDD.
I have no problem with the factory installed 1TB M2 SSD, but I want some more storage space
If I can not use the said HDD, whitch type of HDD/SSD will be compatible
??

I forgot to mention, that when I connect the HDD via an USB3 enclosure it works like a charm - no problems at all
