Ive been trying for a long time, so if anyone has been able to do it, pls help me.
I have only nvme ssd, so when i go to bios and select ahci (its hidden for some reason) and save and exit, it just shows no bootable drives (even when my drives and live usb is attached)

@aryanshb try to switch back to the previous sata option. Does the laptop still boot into Windows?

i get 3 options, optane premium, optane without premium and ahci.
If i click on anything other than optane with premium, i get "no bootable devices"

@aryanshb I see why. You can try to find a way to disable raid or delete it first so that switching to AHCI will make the SSD boots.

If i install a sata ssd on my laptop, do you think it will be recognized by ubuntu?

@aryanshb yes, but if you want to use Ubuntu. You will have switch to AHCI an install Ubuntu on that SATA SSD first. The Windows is still there just need to switch back to IRST if you want to.
