POwer Button not working CP511-2HT

The chromebook just stopped working. We charged it - the light turned orange while charging. There  is a blue light beside power button, but when we oress it nothing happens.  I tried hard reset and nothing chnages. I am wondering if the power button itself could be broken? it doesn;t feel right when we press it.

The amber charging light turns blue when the battery is fully charged. It doesn't sound like it's getting that far. We are going to have to know which Chromebook model you have to make any guesses about the button itself... It should be something like CBxxx-xxx-xxxx and is likely on the same sticker as the SN and SNID.

So I let the battery die and the screen came back alive, and it is charging fine. But nothign happens when we press the power button.

Wait for the full charge indication, then try turning it on... If that does nothing try a long press of the power button (30-60 seconds) to see if make any change.
