Update Acer OEM Nvidia Drivers acer vx5-591g

I am sure this comes up a lot.

I have a acer vx5-591g (comes with an Nvidia 1050Ti graphics chip), the driver on the site is an older driver, looking for an update for Nvidia features and Stability.

I have reinstalled Windows 10 fresh, redownloaded the drivers and got it up and running.

The Nvidia Geforce Experience suggested updating to the Game Ready Drivers of 472.12, running the update fails.

Installed DCH 472.12 from the Nvidia site completes the driver update, but the computer forgets about the GPU chip

Used DDU, fresh installed to 472.12, which worked for a little while, then the issue occurred again where the GPU was not detected.

Requested aid from the Nvidia forum, received the reply of "Nvidia strongly recommends using the OEM Nvidia drive created by the manufacture".

In short, is there a repository of OEM Nvidia drivers Acer has that can be used to update computers?

Hi,
You can download the drivers from Acer support site, they haven't updated the NVIDIA driver and the latest version is from 2018 for your model, I don't know any repository of NVIDIA drivers provided by Acer.

The last Acer NVidia driver on the Driver & manuals for the Aspire VX 15 (VX5-591G) GTX-1050Ti is the 24.21.13.9826 dated 2018/07/09. I’ve never ever had problems with the direct NVIDIA driver downloads for any GTX laptop cards and I've installed them directly from NVIDIA for ages and they all worked 100% and perfectly! Btw and always install the last drivers as the GTX-1050Ti latest driver from NVidia is the Version: 511.65 WHQL Release Date: 2022.2.1 Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit, Windows 11, download it and install it as it should work 100% for your Acer Aspire VX 15 (VX5-591G)

You are very lucky. I wish that was the same experience i was getting.

Currently testing the Studio Driver instead of the Game Ready Driver. Have heard the Studio driver is a more stable version of the two options.

Preliminary testing shows that the OS and Nvidia software do retain access to the GPU even after several reboots, as opposed to the experience I had with the Game Ready Drivers.

The Studio driver can be used to play Games without any noticeable difference in performance or quality.

I will follow up in a couple days with an update.
