Aspire A315-51-356P : M.2 Slot M.2 NVMe or M.2 SATA?

I have an Aspire A315-51-356P (i3 6006u, 2017 model) which has a m.2 slot, though nothing about this slot is mentioned in its manuals.
Now though I've figured out the slot, I'm unsure whether the m.2 slot supports m.2 SATA, m.2 NVMe or both. I wanted to buy an m.2 NVMe but am unsure whether it'll work. Also what could be the maximum capacity SSD I could buy?
I have attached an image of HWiNFO 64 and an image of the m.2 slot itself.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

The slot is an M.2 SATA-3 6GB/sec B&M end key type slot, with features of ATA-8 ACS2 and Serial ATA revision 3.0 interface supported, Data Set Management Command Set of Trim Supported, SMART Features, Security Feature Set and Power management supported.

The Acer fittted OEM and recommmended M.2 drives are:

Hi, thanks a lot for replying.
The drives you have mentioned are all SATA m.2 drives. Does that mean that an m.2 NVME ssd would not be compatible with the laptop? Also I would like to point out that the slot has only one key, that is the M key.
    Thanks a lot again.

@siddhant764 Hi Sidhhant, I have Acer Aspire 315-51_z and I'm trying to install Crucial P2 NVMe M.2 250 GB SSD in it.

After installing the hardware when i tried to turn the power on of my laptop, it doesn't. Just the power light blinks to green and then turned off.

Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong.

Maybe you didn't connect everything properly, i think you should open up the back cover and recheck all connections?
