Has anyone tried to install mSATA to mini PCI express on N2620G? Sorry it its bit out dated but any advice or story would be much helpful. Thanks.

    They are totally different slots and used for different functions and plugging either an mSATA to a PCIe or vice versa will not work as they have different functions. The mPCIe slot is a miniaturized version of the PCI slot, generally implemented as a 124-pin connector. The other implementation uses a 100-pin connector Mini PCI-e is mainly used in things like laptops and all in ones, but there are desktop boards (usually ITX) that have them. They are mainly used for wireless cards. There are 1x PCIe video cards but they are fairly low end models due to bandwidth limitations.

    The mSATA SSD is a solid-state drive (SSD) that conforms to the mSATA interface specification developed by the Serial ATA (SATA) International Organization. An mSATA SSD has a smaller form factor than a standard SSD and is designed for use with portable, power-constrained devices such as laptops, tablets and netbooks. Although they can still be found in older laptops and devices, mSATA SSDs are increasingly being replaced by M.2 SSDs.
