No access to USB boot

I installed Cloudready on Acer Aspire One Cloudbook 14 by USB boot method.  I had to go into BIOS to disable Secure Boot, then access through F12 at startup.  I want to install a different OS but cannot access the USB boot.  I've gone through BIOS settings and tried Legacy and UEFI with rearranged boot devices, but when accessing the boot menu through F12, USB device does not show up; only HDD/eMMC.

How can I access USB boot?  Or, what I really want to do is to put another OS on the computer.  At the very least, I'd like to delete the existing OS and the info on it.  Cloudready has disabled the "Powerwash" ability, so I cannot remove my account.

Must stay in UEFI mode. Bootable stick must be GPT partition scheme FAT32 using Rufus and the installation iso. However, some BIOS firmware are locked onto the emmc chip's factory-installed OS's trusted EFI file. These BIOSes simply ignore any other OS's EFI file that may be written to the BIOS trusted file entries. Thus only the factory-installed OS will boot.

I assume you have disabled Secure Boot in BIOS, otherwise you are out of luck as @JackE said, because it uses EMMC.

    1. Alter the BIOS sequence on your PC so your USB device is first. ...
    2. Install the USB device on any USB port on your PC. ...
    3. Restart your PC. ...
    4. Watch for a “Press any key to boot from external device” message on your display. ...
    5. Your PC should boot from your USB drive.

Hello weilmd, you said you want to install a different OS. You have to be sure that the OS'S install usb key must have an UEFI partition allowing to boot according to your computer. And even if you can boot usb to install the os, on the next boot you may encounter problem as JackE said above. Solutions exits, but a little bit complicated to apply
