I was trying to update to the last Nvidia bios v101a for rtx 3060. I wrongly executed the application in the vbios folder and it reduced my gpu from 100w to 95w. How can I revert this?. Anyone help me please

I got the update through official acer website. I tried to run different version of the bios updates and it's now 105W.  Isn't this how it's supposed to be ?

Ok myass and that is fair enough but, if there is an Acer BIOS upgrade then it doesn’t mean that you have to upgrade to it, it’s only if you have problems so you can change the cards default TPD as higher is not always better especially in a laptop where heat generation is a crucial thing to performance. Read this “Multiple RTX 3060 Mobile TDP Configurations Tested” as TDP is the maximum amount of heat generated by the graphics card that a cooling system has to dissipate (the power is dissipated in the form of heat) under normal conditions (?). For example, a TDP of 105W means the VGA cooler must be designed to dissipate heat equivalent to 105W. The TDP does not reflect the total power consumption of a graphics card.

Het myass where did you get the RTX-3060 firmware update from, did you get it from TechPowerup? As Acer voids warranty if a consumer updates a graphics card firmware unless Acer specifically supplies a firmware update (which is very very rare if they do) on any models of either laptops or desktops on the Acer Drivers & manuals sites that use these cards. Also you are lucky that you flashed the firmware properly and the card works and it didn’t brick, as 95W is not a great drama as it will make the card run at a little lower temp and should not affect its performance much or at all.

Thank you so mush for the information. I have another issue with CPU overheating and throttling with no GPU on idle and with over 20% load on CPU can reach over 80 -90 degrees. I tried different types of thermal paste but still have same issue

Try to undervolt the CPU to reduce heat (there are allot of guides on this on this forum) as the default PH315-53’s CPU PROCHOT is set at 98°C and OS shuts down at 100°C and its H/W shut down is at PH1=85°C e.g. at max 98°C your Fan 2 Speed should be at 3100rpm and Fan 1 Speed should be at 3700rpm and the noise SPL Spec (dBA) is 43dBa. Also I would suggest buying a good laptop tablet cooler (I've got one as I live in a very hot climate when temps reach 45°C+ in summmer and the laptop reaches mid 80's only with a cooler) as that decreases temps by up to 10˚C. Have a look at this basic guide “How to Reduce Laptop Heat (10 Of the Best Tips You’ll Find)” as it has some very valid points and clues.

I tried cooling pads as well with max laptop fan speed and no difference and could reach 100 degrees while gaming.

I am worried about trying undervolting it.
