Windows 10 black screen and fan on after shut down/sleep and won't restart - Swift SF314-57G

My Acer Swift SF314-57G laptop is running windows 10 Home 20H2. It regularly won't shut down (via start -> Power -> Shutdown) or go to sleep (either via Start -> Power -> Sleep or by shutting the lid, which is set to put the computer to Hibernate in the power settings). Instead of shutting down/going to sleep, the screen goes black but the fan stays on. In this state, it's also not possible to reawaken the computer. It remains stuck in this half on/half off state unable to either sleep/shut down or start up again. This can last for hours until either a) the battery runs out or b) I long press on the power button or c) I use a pin to press the reset button. Any work that was open is also lost in this state. How can I fix this problem?

Weird. If this is windows installation problem, you can either reinstall or reset. Otherwise, going to the nearest support center might help.
