Have a SF314-54G whose battery suddenly stopped working, only works when plugged in now. Have tried the battery reset option but it does not work.
The battery is showing as 100% charged and any trouble shooting on the battery shows up without any qualifications. Not sure what went wrong.
Any help appreciated! Thanks!

Do a battery info from cmd:
    1. Open the command prompt.
    2. Type in:

                     powercfg /batteryreport

         3. Make sure all hidden folders are shown

Note: open the report in the: Users/your name or computer name/ Battery report.html

It could also be the actual OEM battery BTY PACK LI+ LG 4C 3.22AH LG 48WH PRISMA - part no: KT.0040G.006 that needs replacing, otherwise its an internal circuitry thing that needs diagnostics by an experienced tech that will replace faulty parts that are in the charging circuitry part of the laptop which you can’t fix yourself.

    Hi @mad_hatter,

    # Try to update the battery driver

    1. Hold windows key and hit letter X.
    2. Choose the device manager option.
    3. Go with the option battery.
    4. Under the title battery.
Update Battery Drivers in Windows EASILY - Driver Easy
    5. Right click on that option ----> Update all driver under the title battery.
    6. Choose "search automatically".

Check this T/S and post the result.

You have a battery reset pinhole on the bottom of your system. Turn it off and disconnect everything, including power. Use something like a bent paperclip to press and hold the reset for 15-30 seconds. Release the button and wait 15-30 minutes to allow all residual power to drain off. Reconnect the charger and wait for the battery indicator light to show a full charge, then turn it back on and see if it's fixed. That usually does it when the battery gets confused.
