CPU not sending signal to monitor through HDMI/VGA adapter

I have two VGA monitors, a laptop and a new CPU. The new CPU sends signals to my TV through an HDMI cable, this means that it is working. I can connect my laptop to the monitors through an HDMI/VGA adapter perfectly. Now, this is not the case for the CPU, the monitor says no signal.

Is there a configuration that needs to be set in my CPU's display settings?

How do you mean a new cpu? As in you have changed the CPU on a laptop and its HDMi port is no longer working?

@KNew72 you should likely start your own thread, we never got any feedback from the original poster here. Include the monitor model number and information on what you are connecting to. A lot of desktops have video ports on the motherboard and on a GPU card in a slot, but only support one or the other, not both...
