Nitro 5 AN515-44 BIOS Update required!TPM is making my computer unstable.

Whoever sees this should be reported to the driver testing and publishing team!

TPM is making my computer unstable. Fast startup makes my PC unstable on first boot! This happens when the TPM is enabled. My windows security takes a long time to load and likewise typing "tmp.msc" takes longer to load. When I install Windows 11, my screen stays on a black screen on first boot with fast startup. When TPM is turned off, the problems I mentioned are fixed.

I cleared the TPM and the problem did not change. It's been a long time still no update! We work and earn money for Nitro 5 computers, but zero after sales support!

Please let the support team respond to the location, should this be a problem only for me or a general problem?

@SunSetTR it seems that this problem affects some AMD CPU with TPM enabled on windows 11. https://www.techadvisor.com/news/windows/windows-11-tpm-amd-performance-issues-3812792/ you can try check for update for the latest build.

I can't use Windows 11. It was stuck on black screen after the Acer logo. The topic shared did not work for me. Since the computer is under warranty, I cannot open it and remove the CMOS battery.

@SunSetTR hold the power button for force shutdown. Just go into the BIOS and disable the TPM for now.

@egydiocoelho I installed Windows 11. Windows Security boots up fast. However, when you enter the "Device security" tab, the "Security processor" appears late on the screen. In Windows 11 now it's nice that the main menus load fast when I first go into Windows security.

My other problem in Windows 11 is with DTS audio. Windows 11 says it found newer drivers than I did. I installed the new drivers it found. However, the settings do not work in "DTS:X Ultra" and "DTS Sound Unbound". I can say that there is no bass in the headphones. The sound in the computer speaker was fine. I went back to the audio drivers that Acer released, started using the programs again, and the bass was back on my headphones.

@egydiocoelho It tells me "Proof" or "Storage" is not ready. Sometimes I get this error. TPM says to clear. Even though I cleared the TPM it's still the same. Fast startup loading TPM chip late? Why is this happening? I am angry right now. Warranty does not see this as a problem and sends it back!

I remember another user mentioned, that this issue seems to affect AMD processors and he also said that microsoft is planning to release a fix for this issue.

The friend with the same model computer says there is no problem.

No similar issue on different AMD computer.

My problem is different and apparently no one is experiencing the same thing.

It's fine when you disable the TPM. The thing is, I wouldn't want it fixed while the TPM is active. I asked friends who have the same computer, they don't have a problem, why do I have a problem? I have the same computer and I want it to be fine.

My problem is that my computer starts fast on first boot and I think the TPM loads too late what is causing this problem. TPM information continues to load late even after computer startup.

Everything works fine when I turn off fast startup from Windows. But my computer boots up in twice as long.

Turning off the "Fastboot" setting in the BIOS doesn't help much. Likewise, turning off the "Secure Boot" setting did not work.

Will the warranty fix this problem? Or can he understand me? A friend with the same computer used my computer and saw that it was very annoying.

When installing windows, are you sure that you deleted all partitions until they got unallocated space?

Yes. I deleted all partitions.

If the problem only occurs when fast startup is enabled, what happens when you disable hibernation with this command? powercfg /h /type reduced

Bought my laptop 4 months back, had a lot of these issues and more, most of the guides and solutions said BIOS update was the only choice and no signs of it, and others stuff, anyway this is hella disrespectful

Acer brand is weak in driver support. My previous laptop Lenovo had at least 2 years of driver and 3 years of BIOS update support. Currently Nitro 5 AN515-44 products require audio driver update along with BIOS update. In AMD current graphics card drivers, there is a sound crackling in the speaker, I somehow managed to install the updated Realtek driver, but I could not use the DTS sound software. As for the TPM issue, AMD says that the fix update may come with the BIOS, but I see that Acer doesn't care about this situation. How ridiculous to give 1 year driver support.
