How do I stop my screen from glitching when tabbing out from a game? - Nitro 5 515-45

Since I bought my laptop Nitro 5 (515-45) I have had issues with playing games and having huge screen glitches (looks like RGB white noise) when I tab out, or sometimes if a 3rd party app pops up with in game stats. The problem goes away if I close the game through task manager and reload, or sometimes tabbing back and forth until it fixes itself. Would love some help with this problem. The image attached is just a still frame of the static. I did try reducing my screen refresh rate from 144 to 60 to see if that would help, but it almost seemed to make it worse.

@Onubin maybe you can try to update the GPU drivers or the BIOS.
