Hello, I'm still a student and Im planning to upgrade the ram of my Acer Aspire 3 laptop (A315-53-34CE). I was confused whether the option for 8GB or 16GB RAM. The existing RAM size is 4GB. When I tried to search online, the sites that I had found said that this laptop had a maximum expandable RAM size up to 12GB while the others said it had up to 20gb. I would like to know from the ACER Technical Experts if should I get 8GB or 16GB RAM?. (Please help me)

You should be able to add one 16GB DDR4 sodimm module, preferrably 2400MHz or 2666MHz frequency for a total of 20GB RAM. However, if it was mine, adding an 8GB sodimm would likely be more than enough than I could ever use or notice for the next few years. Even adding 4GB would be quite adequate for me.
