I just bought quite a bare bone Acer Nitro N50-120 Ryzen 5 5600x for good price where the previous owner had stripped the storage, the graphic card and the ram from the set.

I then fitted it with 64GB Adata RAM (16GB x 4), 1TB Kingston SSD (preinstalled with windows 10), 1TB WD HDD.

I tested the new built with ATI Radeon HD 4300 / 4500 series (RV710) and NVIDIA GeForce 405 (GT218) and they both work for windows, but they both do not display anything from boot until windows 10 is loaded or when accessing UEFI BIOS (via Windows Settings > Recovery > UEFI).

I wish to know the basic GPU needed to enable display at least when accessing UEFI bios since I need to change the settings in there to fully convert this desktop to be a headless home server.

Any help(s) are very much appreciated.

@akhukumfilislam try to unplug the power and take out the CMOS battery for the BIOS reset. Or update the BIOS from Acer support website.

I tried the followings which include powering off, unpluging, pressing power to discharge any power residues, removing cmos battery, wait several minutes before reseting cmos battery, repluging and rebooting, however still no display on boot or in BIOS.

Reinstall R01-A2 BIOS downloaded from Acer but similarly failed.

when Windows has started HDMI display is still working fine together with the HDMI audio.

    Any other suggestion(s)?
