Hi people!

Since yesterday, my computer display is completely black on boot up. I can see the Predator logo but then the display turns completely black (backlighting is working fine). I can use my computer normally with an external display but impossible to get the integrated screen to work. When accessing the BIOS or Windows repair mode, the screen works just fine surprisingly. No shock or anything weird happen to my laptop either, I just turned it off the other night and the next morning the display was not working anymore.

I've done a lot of research on the topic and tried everything: update drivers, Windows 10, BIOS, drain/discharge the battery, hard reset, remove/switch the RAM, boot up without the battery, remove the extra HDD, etc... nothing works at all. I'm worried it's a problem with the motherboard or some cables I cannot access to.

Anybody got a solution for me?

Thank you!

Seeing that you have done the basic consumer checks and balances to rectify the faults that you have, also check the main “Connection Cable and Plug” from the screen to motherboard plug cable that is continually twisted and bent whenever you open and close the laptop and its prone to wear and tear and could have its plug disconnected and/or one of its delicate wires broken giving you an on/off faults. Or, it could be the “LED Board” part No: 55.Q1CN5.002 that is faulty or it could be the LED LCD Panel LPL 15.6'W part No: KL.15608.024 itself that is on its way out and needs replacing as it works intermittently. All these parts have to be checked and diagnosed as any faulty wires and/or boards can contribute to your image faults.
