    See the motherboard diagram below:
    1. The 2.5" drives are at No7 - SATA1~3 - Serial ATA 6Gb/s connectors
    2. The M.2 drive is at No8 - M2_2 - M.2 (2 280& 2242) slot (for PCIE SSD & Intel Optane memory)
    3. The No18- M2_1 - M.2 (2230/1630) slot for WLAN/Bluetooth

I am still at a bit of a loss. I am alittlw behind the times when building new PCs. Am I missing a cord that need to go into number 8? I basically want to use my 1 TB as a slave drive.

Mike86812 just plug it into any of the sata ports in the mobo (7) and get the power cable from the PSU should have enough spare sata power left (if youre using a 2.5/3..5" drive) any drive that wont have any OS on it will become secondary  the m.2 slot (8) its dedicated for drives with OS as its a faster port supports nvme in the case youre trying to add another m.2 drive to the existing you need either a usb adapter or a 2.5" enclosure supporting nvme or sata depending on the m.2 drive type) good luck :)

@StevenGen im not sure as i dont have access to the SG's dashboard for months now does this mobo have only one m.2 or has 2 on top of each other ???

It would help a lot to know which PO 3000 you have. There were substantial differences between the different years. I'm betting you have a PO3-620, 630 or 640. They all use ATX12VO power supplies and have a power connectors on the motherboard to provide power to the drives. If you have two drives installed now then one of those power connectors has a cable running up to the drive bay. There should be another connector just like it adjacent to the one that's for your existing drives. You may or may not have had the extra included in the box with your system. The power cables are available from venues like eBay and Amazon, or by searching on the Acer part number. We need to know which model you have before we can get you the numbers though, same thing with the motherboard diagram. The one posted above looks like it's for a PO3-600 from 2019.
