I tried to install ubuntu 20.04.3 on my Acer Aspire V3-372. Installation via usb worked perfectly. However, after finishing and rebooting, the system is in an infinite reboot loop, similar as reported
here: The screen flashes "Restart system" when the acer logo appears, and few seconds after that, it reboots again.
However, I was not able to fix this issue via the UEFI boot management (aka InsydeH20 Setup Utility). In the option "Select an UEFI file as trusted for executing", I indeed find the ubuntu installation and the efi file, and it is set.(This is a common solution for ubuntu installtion/booting options, e.g.
here here and
here )
The issue persists.
I tried a lot now from solutions of similar issues provided at different places. Most significant change was the error "no bootable device found" when I once tried to define the efi partitions. Of course, I repeated the installation several times, so it does not seem to be a broken installation. The ubuntu Live system also works perfectly. What could I try?
