Hi, I was working on my Acer Swift 1 SF114-32-P80E, and then I would close it. After opening it again it wont turn on. I tried battery drain, unplugg the battery and then plug it in again but it does not work. I have checked my AC adapter with voltmeter and it works. When I plug in AC adapter even the LEDs on side of notebook wont turn on. How can I turn it on again?

  • Hello, good afternoon.
Try this: unplug it, press the power button for 30s.
After that, plug it back in and see if it will turn on.

There is a cable that runs between the DC-Input socket and the motherboard. If it has come loose you would likely see those symptoms. Since you are comfortable with opening it up, check the cable and socket to see if they are OK.

I have opened it up and measure voltage at that cable. I even tried to unplug it ant plug it again to mother board but it didn't work.

OK, so if the cable and socket test out correctly but the power LEDs show nothing then we need to look at the IO board on the right side of the laptop. It is also connected to the motherboard with a cable, in this case a ribbon cable. It holds the LEDs use to provide battery and charger status. If it's bad or the cable isn't fully seated or it is damaged you will not see indicators for the power.
