BSOD and No Bootable Device errors when waking

Approx. 5 year old Aspire V Nitro. Been getting variations of No Bootable Device errors, only when waking from sleep mode. This is also usually preceded by a brief BSOD with a couple different stop codes - mainly "unexpected store exception".
When I force shut down and restart, it typically starts up fine. On occasion, I have gotten the error again after restarting, in which case I have tried the suggestion in the article here to load the default configuration in the BIOS - https://community.acer.com/en/kb/articles/94-no-bootable-device-error-message. It then started up again ok, but only for a couple days. For a while, it only occurred every few days, now it is every time after waking. I have found that it is less likely to occur if I restart the computer before it goes to sleep mode. I have also tried switching from UEFI to Legacy in the BIOS as was suggested in some videos, but still got the error.
I have had the computer inspected by a local computer repair tech twice, he was unable to find any major issues, including hard drive. Also, I have experienced no other issues with the computer other than during startup. I am hoping someone has experienced a similar issue and has some other ideas. Thanks for any suggestions.

Do NOT try to do this again or you risk losing everything on the HDD.

From your description, the HDD is starting to fail despite what the local inspection concluded. While it's still up and running, I suggest replacing the HDD and cloning/migrating it to either a 2.5" 1TB WD blue series HDD (less than $50 ) or SSD (less than $100). You also need a 2.5" usb-to-hdd/ssd adapter to migrate the system to the new HDD or SSD before replacing the old drive (less than $10). If you're in the US, Amazon has everything you need.

Just a comment but changing from a HDD (has a rpm figure) to a Sata SSD has resulted in a very significant increase in performance on every desktop and laptop I have tried.
ps whatever drive you pick, make sure that it includes free cloning software.
