Acer 80% limit don't work and Acer Care Center don't work with this particular feature.

Please I need support to figure out a problem with Acer Care Center's Battery 80% limit feature.

1. When I turn on the "limit battery to 80%" the ACC says it will "charge the battery to 100%" and then drain it until the 80% limit. The first problem is, it doesn't happen. The battery stop at any charge and stays this way. If my battery is at 92% it stay there and don't charge anymore. When I start to gaming it slowly drains.

2. The second problem is about the limit of 80% itself. If my battery drains bellow 80%, lets say 79, 78, 77, etc. the ACC don't recharge it back to 80%!!

BTW, all those situations happen with my laptop's battery connect to electricity.

I reinstalled the last version of ACC from Acer Support site and nothing changed.

Please, I need some help or explanation why the Acer Care Center don't work with this particular feature.

There is nothing to worry about. ACC is working as intended. AAC "Baterry Limit Charge" doesn't work that way as you thought.

If you have that (limit battery to 80%) option enabled, It stops charging the battery when the battery percentage reaches 80%. If it's already above 80% it won't let your battery charge.

For example:

Your laptop's battery is already above 80%, say 90% your battery won't charge. It will stay at 90%.
Your laptop's battery level is below 80%, say 60%. ACC will let you charge your laptop to 80% and stop charging after it reaches 80%.

Charging battery above 80% or letting it go below 40% decreases its life faster. Full Cycles decrease battery life faster. The laptop's battery has a limited recharge cycle.

"When I start to gaming it slowly drains."

Some energy from the battery gets used up along with electricity to compensate for computing power requirements. (Gaming laptop's batteries are meant for that.

This is also normal. To charge it back let's say from 79% to 80% just turn OFF your power and turn it back ON. Your battery will start charging to 80% and stop when it reaches 80%.

Sometimes when the battery is at 80% and the laptop is connected to electricity for a long time. Some percentage of the battery get used up. (Maybe laptop using additional energy from the battery for some task along with electricity/ in-between boot / or natural degradation). You may notice your battery at 79, 78, 77, etc and not charging back to 80%.

My advice to you will be to turn off your laptop power when it's shut down and not in use. Do a (10-90%) battery cycle once a week.

I've switch on the stop charging at 80% option and when i turn off and turn on the laptop the stop charging at 80 % option gets turned off automatically and laptop charges to 100%.
